Art student receives check

Co-Lin art instructors Janet Smith (left) and Chris Brady (right) present Co-Lin sophomore Demarkus Miller of Roxie with a $1,000 check given by an anonymous donor. The anonymous donor wanted the money to go to a deserving art student to honor Rosemary Leggett. The donor instructed Leggett to select an art student and she chose Miller. An art major on the college’s Wesson Campus, Miller has designed the last two Christmas prints for Co-Lin’s art department annual fundraiser. The check came as a surprise to Miller.

“I can’t believe this. I am shaking,” said Miller.
