Brookhaven Rotary Club Donation

The Brookhaven-Lincoln County Rotary Club answered Rotary International President Ian Riseley’s call to Rotary members around the world to plant at least one tree for each Rotarian in their club.
The effort amounts to about 1.2 million oxygen-generating new trees around the world.
The Brookhaven-Lincoln County Rotary Club accepted the challenge by purchasing 20 trees that were planted on the Copiah-Lincoln Community College campus.
The trees were placed on the marching band practice field to grow, add beauty and one day offer a shady respite for students at Co-Lin.
Club President Luke Horton led the effort with Rotary Assistant District Governor Mark Anderson, outgoing Co-Lin President and Rotary Club Foundation Director Dr. Ronnie Nettles, incoming Co-Lin President Dr. Jane Hulon and members of the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Rotary Club in attendance.
