After over 25 years out of the classroom, Patrina Williams returned to Co-Lin through Complete 2 Compete (C2C) to finish her degree. She graduated in December with a degree in Psychology at the age of 50.

Williams first attended Co-Lin in the early 90s. She admits that she had no real interest in school, but only came because her mother made her. Williams said she realized the importance of education over the years and decided to return to Co-Lin in 2017.

“The instructors understood that I was not as in sync with the current students because I’m a non-traditional student. But they were more than willing to work with me. Their genuine compassion was evident," said Williams. "I finished my degree at Co-Lin in Psychology and am now working on my bachelor’s. I’ve witnessed firsthand the impact of mental illness with a close family member. My advice to those who are considering returning to school? You’re never too old to learn and you can never learn too much.”

C2C is a program for MS residents that are at least 21 years old, have been out of college for at least 2 years and have at least 12 completed hours to return to college and finish their degree. Learn more at www.msc2c.org or call Co-Lin’s C2C Coach Ayannah Williams at 601.643.8397.
