Martin to receive Women Under 40 award

Co-Lin Dean of Career, Technical and Workforce Education Jackie Martin will receive the American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) Women Under 40 award during the association’s annual conference in Dallas, Texas on April 29.

The Women Under 40 awards seek to recognize rising stars who are making a difference for the college that they serve. The AAWCC selects 40 community college women under the age of 40 annually to be honored with the recognition.

Martin is serving in her fifth year as Dean of Career, Technical and Workforce Education. She previously served as Director of Career Technical Curriculum and Assessment at Co-Lin, and Brookhaven Technical Center Director for Brookhaven School District. She received both a Bachelor of Science Degree and Master of Science Degree from Mississippi State University, and earned her Education Specialist Degree from Mississippi College. Martin is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Mississippi College.
