Phi Beta Lambda chapter captures awards

Co-Lin’s Nu Kappa Chapter of Phi Beta Lambda received 27 awards at the State Leadership Conference held on the campus of Mississippi University for Women in Columbus. The annual competition featured students representing more than 30 active chapters at the two-and four-year colleges and universities across the state.
The chapter received 11 first place awards, seven second place awards, eight third place awards, and one fourth place award.
First place winners included Shay Hodges of Brookhaven, Microeconomics; Tyler Riley of Starkville, Sales Presentation; Garrett Smith of Brookhaven and Zach Smith of Madison, Small Business Management Plan; Brad Jasper of Brookhaven, Sports Management and Marketing; Jacob Jordan of Smithdale, Statistical Analysis; Madison Franklin of Brookhaven, Sebastian Harrell of Meadville, and Mary Beth Munn of Wesson, Business Law; Madison Buhrer of Foxworth, Nikki Castilaw of Wesson, and Tyonna Johnson of Pinola, Community Service Project; Brad Jasper, Contemporary Sports Issues; John Dickson of Terry, Shay Hodges, and Nathaniel Szczublewski of Brookhaven, Economic Analysis and Decision Making; Tripp Case of Hattiesburg, Entrepreneurship Concepts; and Tyler Riley, Impromptu Speaking.
Second place winners include Olivia Hodgson of Brookhaven and Wayne Lambert of Wesson, Social Media Challenge; Madison Franklin, Sebastian Harrell, and Mary Beth Munn, Business Ethics; Roger Rushing of Jayess, Contemporary Sports Issues; Matt Smith of Brookhaven, Cyber Security; Alex Hamilton of Florence, Impromptu Speaking; Nikki Castilaw, Local Chapter Annual Business Report; and Nathaniel Szczublewski, Macroeconomics.
Receiving third place awards were Matt Smith, Programming Concepts; Jashia Smith of Wesson, Retail Management; John Dickson, Sports Management and Marketing; Johanna Russell of Brookhaven, Garrett Smith, and Zach Smith, Accounting Analysis and Decision Making; Johanna Russell, Accounting Principles; Keiwonna Holloway of Silver Creek, Tyonna Johnson, and Bradley Lawrence of Star, Business Decision Making; Madison Buhrer and Alex Hamilton, Integrated Marketing Campaign; and Tripp Case, Justice Administration.
Wayne Lambert received fourth place in Emerging Business Issues.
The National Leadership Conference will be held in Baltimore, MD, June 23-26. Serving as advisers for the Nu Kappa Chapter are Eddie Britt, Richard Baker, and Heather Martin.
