Precision Machining Technology receives grant from Haas Foundation

The Co-Lin Foundation recently received a $10,000 Gene Haas Foundation grant to be used for the Precision Machining Technology program. Grant funds will provide precision machining student scholarships and help cover the cost of the NIMS certifications. Grant funds are meant to promote careers in manufacturing and machining and help train students to become skilled machinists.

The Gene Haas Foundation was founded in 1999 and has awarded more than $40 million to more than 1,500 schools. Since founding Haas Automation in 1983, Hass' commitment to promoting U.S. manufacturing has resulted in his support for manufacturing education nationwide, including through scholarships for CNC machinist training. The largest machine tool builder in the western world, Haas Automation manufactures a complete line of CNC vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers, CNC lathes, and rotary products.
