Victory earns high school equivalency

Co-Lin student Jeremy Victory of Brookhaven recently obtained his high school equivalency through Co-Lin’s Adult Education program. Victory will now continue his studies in the Diesel Equipment Technology program as a college student.

Victory is part of the Mississippi Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training (MIBEST) program, a program funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation that allows eligible students to complete a high school equivalency diploma while earning college credit toward a technical certificate or an Associate of Applied Science degree. MIBEST seeks to help students of all ages get their education back on track with assistance from Navigators and Team Teachers. Five Career-Technical programs are offered through the program including Automotive Technology, Business Office Technology, Diesel Equipment Technology, Heating and Air Condition Technology, and Precision Machining Technology.
