Dual Enrollment

High school students can earn college credit while still attending high school. Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit Program students follow the same rules as regular college students.

Where can dual enrollment/dual credit courses be taught?

  • By Copiah-Lincoln Community College at the Wesson Campus, Natchez Campus, or Simpson County Center
  • At an approved dual enrollment/credit high school
  • Through an online Co-Lin course

To be admitted to the Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit Program, students must submit the following:

  • A completed Copiah-Lincoln Community College application for admission
  • A high school transcript that documents junior and senior status with a minimum of 14 core high school units:
    • A 3.0 on 4.0 scale (Academic)
    • A 2.0 on 4.0 scale (Career-Technical)
  • A minimum subscore on the ACT:
    • A minimum ACT subscore of 17 in English to enroll in English Composition I
    • A minimum ACT subscore of 19 in math to enroll in College Algebra

For special admissions requirements for home school students, see the special admissions section of the catalog. Students who have an American College Test (ACT) score of 30 or higher may be enrolled without completing 14 units provided all other criteria are met.

NOTE: Dual enrollment/dual credit programs in the Career-Technical area may have special entrance requirements.
