For special admissions requirements for home school students, see the special admissions section of the catalog. Students who have an American College Test (ACT) score of 30 or higher may be enrolled without completing 14 units provided all other criteria are met.
NOTE: Dual enrollment/dual credit programs in the Career-Technical area may have special entrance requirements.
The 2023 Mississippi Legislature approved Senate Bill 2487 cited as the Mississippi Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit Scholarship Program Act of 2023. The scholarship program awards eligible public or charter school high school juniors or seniors six hours of dual enrollment/credit funding.
The online application for the state’s new Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit Scholarship (DEDC) will open on Monday, November 6 at www.msfinancialaid.org.
Public and charter school juniors and seniors may apply for the scholarship to cover tuition for up to six credit hours (lifetime eligibility) of Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit courses offered by a participating institution in Mississippi (at this time, all public and private colleges and universities are planning to participate in the program).
