The Business Division provides the first two years of academic parallel courses and curricula of a four-year bachelor’s degree program for students who plan to transfer to a senior institution. Co-Lin also seeks to enlarge its students’ vision of the role of business in the global environment of the 21st century, while allowing them to participate in challenging activities both in and out of the classroom setting. There are opportunities for educational, economic, and cultural development of citizens within the service area through personnel, facilities, and resources of the college. There are educational opportunities for students to learn the necessary oral and written communication skills required to pursue successful business careers. The faculty encourages students in preparing for and participating in business-related extracurricular competitions, such as those of Phi Beta Lambda, at the local, state, and national levels on par with students from other community colleges, four-year schools, and universities.
The Business Division has developed partnerships with companies including C Spire, Trustmark National Bank, Chick-fil-A, Men’s Wearhouse, Hurst Review, KPMG, and Sanderson Farms for business tours and seminars with current executives. There are also community service activities with organizations including Feed the Children and March of Dimes (national partner), and job search training for local high schools.

Clubs and Organizations
- Phi Beta Lambda – PBL is the collegiate division of the national association Future Business Leaders of America, open to students interested in pursuing a business-related career. There are chapters on all three campuses.
- Collegiate DECA – Students in the business and marketing management technology program, culinary arts technology program, or hospitality and tourism management technology program are encouraged to become members of the DECA chapter on the Natchez Campus.
Leadership Opportunities
- Phi Theta Kappa: PTK is the international honor society for two-year colleges, promoting scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship among students. Membership is by invitation only. Each campus has a chapter: Wesson Campus – Eta Omega, Natchez Campus – Alpha Alpha Zeta, and Simpson County Campus – Beta Xi Psi.
- Student Government Association: SGA serves as the legislative body for all students. Officers are elected to their positions. Organizations are on all three Co-Lin campuses.
- Trailblazers: Trailblazers are the hospitality and recruiting group that takes part in many activities at Co-Lin. Students become Trailblazers through an application process. Organizations are on all three Co-Lin campuses.
